JOURNEY TO THE MYSTERIOUS WORLD OF   LIFE SCIENCES BY ELECTRON MICROSCOPY

‘’SEE BOTH; THE FOREST AND THE TREES’’

Workshop will take place on March, 5, 2020, in Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University, School of Medicine, Department of Histology and Embryology, Istanbul, Turkey. It will be  supported by COST ACTION CA 15214 Eurocellnet.


The workshop will include both theoretical and practical sessions.  The techniques discussed at theoretical sessions will be demonstrated on transmission and scanning electron microscopes in EM lab of Acıbadem University (THERMO FISHER SCIENTIFIC QUATTRO S ESEM & TALOS L120C TEM)


The aim of the workshop is to demonstrate the possibilities of different electron microscopical tools and inform the participants how to use these techniques in their own researches and in their own laboratories.


The workshop will consist of lectures from experts to provide to the participants up-to-date information about various sample preparation for transmission and scanning electron microscopy. There will be ample opportunity for the participants to discuss their specific problems with the faculty. This event will bring together researchers from diverse backgrounds to present the state-of-the-art in cutting edge electron microscopy tools and related applications.

Participation is free. An attendance certificate will be presented to the participants.

The workshop is limited to 50 participants. Participation to the practical session is limited with 25 participants. During practical sessions the participants will be divided into three groups.
